Picture of James Remar (Harry Morgan) of Showtime’s TV Series DexterDexter’s dad is kinda creepy like Dexter himself. Although he really is doing the right thing in “training” Dexter, it gives me the heebie-jeebies. As Season 1 progresses, Dexter’s conversations with his father become more nonchalant. But, that’s the charm of Dexter, soooo uncomfortable.

Bio

William James Remar (born December 31, 1953) is an American actor. He has appeared in 98 different media projects, either movies, video games or TV shows. He is perhaps most familiar as Richard, the on-off tycoon boyfriend of Kim Cattrall’s character in Sex and the City.

Remar was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He is known for his role as Ajax in the 1979 cult film The Warriors, as Albert Ganz in the 1982 hit 48 Hrs. and as Dutch Schultz in the 1984 film The Cotton Club.

Picture of David Sayas (Angel Batista) of Showtime’s TV Series DexterBio

David Zayas is an Puerto Rican-American theatrical, film, and television actor.

Born in Puerto Rico, but raised in the Bronx borough of New York City, Zayas joined the United States Air Force early in life where he was able to develop skills that would lead him to become a New York City Police officer after he was discharged from service. As a police officer, Zayas developed the personality that would allow him to develop as a character actor, and which led to a series of acting jobs on television and film mainly playing law enforcement officers. However, working in law enforcement also provided Zayas with the ability to play characters on the other side of the law. This ability allowed him to play Enrique Morales, one of the most memorable inmates of HBO’s long-running prison-drama OZ. In a total number of 28 episodes from 2002-2003, Zayas’s character became one of the most ruthless inmates featured in that series.

Picture of Michael C. Hall of Showtime’s TV Series Dexter

I thought I would start off the blog by profiling each of the actors in the series.

Michael C. Hall (born February 1, 1971) is an Emmy Award nominated American actor, best known for his role of David Fisher in the HBO series Six Feet Under and as the title character of the Showtime series Dexter.

Career

Hall’s acting career began in the theater. Off-Broadway, he appeared in Macbeth and Cymbeline at the New York Shakespeare Festival, and in Timon of Athens and Henry V at the New York Public Theater, The English Teachers at the Manhattan Class Company (MCC), and the controversial play Corpus Christi at the Manhattan Theatre Club. He also performed in the workshop production of what was then known as Sondheim’s Wise Guys, which has metamorphosed into Bounce. He sang the role of Paris Singer; this character’s songs and function in the play were transferred to the character Hollis Bessamer in the final version of the play.
