I really like Jennifer Carpenter in this role. It’ll be interesting to see how her character develops in Dexter Season 2 given what happened at the end of last season.

Bio
Jennifer Leann Carpenter (born December 7, 1979 in Louisville, Kentucky) is an American film actress.
Carpenter was trained in high school at the prestigious Walden Theatre Company in Louisville. After graduating from high school, she attended The Juilliard School in New York City. Prior to graduation she was cast in the Broadway revival of Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, starring Liam Neeson and Laura Linney.
She is currently playing Debra Morgan in the Showtime television series, Dexter. The series premiere aired on October 1, 2006.
